Sui Developer Program at Iasi
A quiet beginning with loud results

A New Chapter for Iasi Builders
The Iasi cohort brought together a mix that only this city seems able to gather so naturally: students hungry for their first taste of blockchain, junior engineers looking for directions, and a handful of curious newcomers who simply wanted to understand what Sui is all about. The room stayed welcoming from the very beginning, with people steadily easing into the concepts at their own pace during the whole weekend.
The first couple hours we've spent on going through the basics of blockchain, the basics of ecosystems, and the rest is history. Everyone was deeply involved with the material, asking questions and trying to better comprehend the idea behind Sui and, respectively, Move.

Learning by Doing, Not Memorizing
Our trainer, Razvan Statescu, set the tone from the start. He didn’t just throw an explanation and called it a day. He made it approachable and easily understandable, making sure that everyone understood the theory behind it. Day 1 felt like a collective “click” moment for our builders in session: people who came in curious quickly became deeply engaged, pushing conversations further than any slide deck ever could before.
Workshops moved quickly from theory into practice, and it didn’t take long before tables started to work on their very first dApps in Sui. They've got technical support at every step of the way, guiding the students through the debugging process. What started as a quiet, individual effort turned into a multitude of small groups, all trying to help each other detect the logic and syntax errors in their code. By Day 2 we've changed locations to Fab Lab Iasi, but everyone came back with the same spark and fresh determination to work all the way through for their NFT certifications.
Growing a Community, One Partner at the Time
This event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our partners: Gheorghe Asachi Technical University, Facultatea de Automatica si Calculatoare Iasi, Fab Lab Iasi, and of course the Sui Foundation. Their involvement didn’t just give this workshop credibility; it gave it direction and purpose. And to everyone who showed up and got involved, or simply came with the desire to learn: you turned these two days into something quite amazing!
If this weekend proved anything, it’s that Iasi has lots of talent and strong will. That’s the real story here. It's never was just a workshop, but the beginning of a stronger builder community.
If you missed this one, don’t let the next one slip by. Step into the room, meet the people, and be part of what’s coming next!
