Structure and Curriculum
Over six weeks, participants will:
Attend bi-weekly workshops led by expert trainers Alex, Andrei and Daniel.
Engage in team-building activities and collaborative coding challenges.
Join office hours for direct mentorship and technical guidance.
Develop a final project to be submitted at the global Colosseum Hackathon.
The program combines theory with practical skills, ensuring developers not only learn the fundamentals of blockchain programming but also apply them in real-world projects.

Key Advice from Industry Leaders
Guest speakers Jacob Creech (Solana Foundation) and Owen Healy (web3 recruiter) shared invaluable insights on career development in blockchain:
Build in Public - Both Jacob and Owen emphasized that consistently sharing your coding journey—whether through GitHub commits, Twitter threads, blog posts, or short videos—is one of the most powerful ways to gain visibility. Employers look for developers who are active, transparent, and passionate. “You can fork the code, but you can’t fork the community,” Owen reminded participants, underscoring that personal visibility is a career accelerator.
High Demand for Solana Developers - Jacob revealed that more than 7,600 developers joined Solana last year, with over 450 open positions currently available. Companies and projects are eager to hire Rust and Anchor developers, making now one of the best times to enter the ecosystem.
Contribute to Open Source - Daniel, one of the trainers, highlighted the value of contributing to open-source tools such as Anchor 1.0. Real contributions not only strengthen technical skills but also serve as a public portfolio of work—often leading directly to job offers.
Leverage Community Power - Owen pointed out that beyond technical skills, community engagement is a game-changer. Networking in Discord, contributing to GitHub repositories, and collaborating with other builders creates opportunities that formal applications alone cannot provide.
Competitive Salaries in Eastern Europe - Owen noted that experienced Solana developers with Anchor knowledge in the region can expect salaries ranging between $70K–$120K annually, reflecting the strong global demand for blockchain talent.
Looking Ahead
The cohort kicked off with enthusiasm, setting clear expectations for hard work, collaboration, and continuous learning. The participants now embark on a six-week journey that blends technical mastery, career readiness, and global exposure.
On August 14, 2025, Comets of Web3 launched the 4th cohort of the Romanian Solana Developer Program, a six-week initiative dedicated to empowering the next generation of blockchain developers.
A Growing Movement in Eastern Europe
Comets of Web3 has quickly become one of the most dynamic blockchain builder communities in Eastern Europe. The initiative partners with leading blockchain foundations, including Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, Sui, and Cosmos, while fostering an environment rooted in education, collaboration, and career opportunities.
This fourth cohort builds on the momentum of its predecessors, bringing together passionate developers eager to explore Rust, Anchor, Solana smart contracts, NFTs, and TypeScript-based client applications.
